Three Hats & Soap Bag.

I finally finished the hats and soap bag for my friend's mother who has cancer. Even though I had some trouble with this project, throughout the looming process I was reminded to pray for her. I pray she is blessed by these gifts.

I modified the soap bag from the first one I loomed. I liked the purl side, so I turned it inside out. I also crocheted the top with a single crochet and two chain stitch to give it a delicate edge and make loops for the drawstring. I added pony beads to the ends of the drawstring. Soap was added from Mountain Body Cosmetic Deli and Spa.

"Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer." Psalm 4:1

I love the multicolored hat, and the fun fur hat is cool too. The soap sack looks shiney. What material did you use?

I used the Peaches & Creme 100% cotton yarn, Faded Denim. I used two strands, 2 over 2 stitch on a 1/2" gauge loom. I like the purl side much better for this bag. It's not really shiney, but oh, does it ever smell good with the natural soaps I added! So aromatherapeutic.

Linda everything is so gorgeous! You have put so much love and prayer into these, I think they've become "prayer hats". These will be treasured.
