Mock Crochet Hat.

I'm trying to learn how to do the mock crochet stitch. I saw these hats on
Kids, Cats, & Knitted Hats and on American Girl in Italy's blog.
I just love them and had to try and learn how to
make these attractive hats with this stitch. Here's
the start. I'm not sure what I do to that K1, P1 stitch
for the ribbed brim, but I don't like the way it turns out.
